Josh Day got his title defence in the Ducati TriOptions Cup off to a flying start at Donington Park this weekend, securing a double victory to claim the maximum points haul after edging out Elliott Pinson in the second race.
Pinson had the advantage at the start of the race to lead the opening lap, but two laps later and Day had made his move and then was able to edge an advantage to the chequered flag for the Host-it.co.uk Racing Team.
Pinson was second as Ed Best claimed the final podium position as Chris Walker completed his debut weekend in the Ducati TriOptions Cup in consistent fourth place.
David Shoubridge was able to grab fifth place in the closing stages, pushing Craig Neve back into sixth position.
