TAG Racing made their debut in the Bennetts British Superbike Championship in 2014 as they progressed to the premier class following five successful seasons competing in the Dickies British Supersport Championship.
The team scored a podium finish at Brands Hatch with Richard Cooper in 2015 and over the winter switched to the Yamaha YZF-R1 for the 2016 season, running the new machines in the striking Yamaha Motor 60th anniversary livery with title sponsorship from Anvil Hire, a national tool and plant hire company based in Burton-on-Trent.
The team came within three points of the title in 2017 with Josh Brookes and returned last season with multiple race-winner James Ellison and Shaun Winfield. Following a tough year for the 2017 title runners-up after only one visit to the podium, the team are now fully focused on putting a difficult campaign in 2018 behind them and focussing on the future with Dan Linfoot and Shaun Winfield.
