2018 Support Series

The Dickies British Supersport Championship leads the support class line up and in 2018 will feature an incredible line up of riders representing the world's leading manufacturers.

Plus in 2018 a new racing category was introduced alongside the Dickies British Supersport Championship.

The middleweight class for typically 600cc capacity machines has regularly provided some of the fiercest, closest racing ever seen and for nearly three decades has been exclusively restricted to production based models.

Following two years of evaluation, prototype machines of a similar specification to those seen at World and European Championship level in the Moto2 category will now be formally accepted into the British Championship.

The new category, designated British GP2 will allow for current Honda-powered Moto2 machinery that has been used in World or European Championship competition as well as new, independent constructor projects utilising any 600cc four cylinder or 675cc three cylinder engines to a technical specification very similar to Stock 600.

The British Supersport and British GP2 categories race side by side and be separately classified – together with a background classification to see who is the best of the best.

The HEL Performance British Motostar Championship consists of two classes; Moto3 GP and Moto3 Standard and continues to produce the UK's upcoming talent. The grid features both the home grown contenders against some of their European rivals with the field rapidly expanding ahead of the new season.

The Dickies British Junior Supersport Championship will feature at eight Bennetts BSB events and is aimed as an entry level class for riders aged 13 -22 years old competing on production machines from 300cc – 500cc.

Leading Bennetts BSB team FS3 Kawasaki has already a Junior Supersport team to run alongside its BSB and Superstock campaign and Yamaha have announced a comprehensive promotional programme around the Yamaha R3 machine linking into European and World Championships.

The Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship is fiercely-contested and will feature several big hitters as some big names return to the class for the new season title fight!

The Pirelli National Superstock 600 Championship line-up will feature upcoming riders ready to take the next step. The "Junior Superstock" class requires the first three in the previous years' championship to move on so young aspiring riders to complete a full grid for 2019.

The all-new British Talent Cup begins a whole new phase of Dorna’s Road to MotoGP™ program. The new Cup is designed as the perfect stepping-stone for riders from the British Isles to get onto the world stage, providing an opportunity like no other for young talent to grow and progress on the Road to MotoGP™. 22 riders are ready to line up in the first season, preparing to fight for the title of first ever British Talent Cup Champion.

The riders, aged between 12 and 17, have all been handpicked from aspiring hopefuls at the first ever British Talent Cup selection event. Six events, 12 races and 23 riders are ready for the challenge in 2018.

The Ducati TriOptions Cup is a closely-contested one-make series comprising eight rounds at prestigious UK circuits and Assen in the Netherlands.

Now in their eighth season running with the top flight, the F1 Sidecars provide an entertaining addition to the BSB weekends, with returning title sponsor Hyundai Heavy Industries in association with the Molson Group. The new season will see the best ever grids compete on the BSB calendar with entrants from across the world.
