Andrew Smyth is set to make his debut in Pirelli National Junior Superstock in 2021, following two seasons in the HEL Performance British Junior Supersport Championship.

The 17-year-old apprentice engineer is looking forward to the new challenge, following his first podium finish in the Junior Supersport series at Oulton Park last year and top ten finishes.

Smyth said: “After having two seasons on the Kawasaki Ninja 400 I feel I am ready to progress into a higher class. I look forward to the challenges I will face, as I will be learning a lot this year. I have changed my routine, incorporating exercises to build muscle, as the 600 is a completely different bike to handle as I already learned with a bit of track time.

“Without Dad I simply wouldn’t be where I am today the effort that he has put into the 600 alone is insane so I can’t thank him enough. Plus a big thanks to all of my sponsors enough for helping me chase my dream as without them it simply wouldn’t be possible.”
