Reigning champion Kennedy back on track ahead of Dickies British Supersport title defence

Jack Kennedy was back on track this week as the reigning Dickies British Supersport champion kicked off his title defence with an opening test at Donington Park with the Appleyard Macadam team.

Kennedy who claimed an impressive 11 race victories last season on his way to securing the championship crown, used the track time to get back up to speed on the Yamaha R6 ahead of the team’s next test at Portimao later this month.

Kennedy said: “It was great to get back out on the bike again for the first time since winning the championship. Even though it was a cold day with some wet and dry mixed weather conditions, we had plenty of track time and it reminded me just how much I enjoy riding the Appleyard Macadam R6; it’s such a sweet bike. It was also good to catch up the lads and blow the cobwebs off before we head to Portimao for our next test.”

The third round of the 2019 Bennetts British Superbike Championship is a Bank Holiday triple-header at Donington Park on May 24/25/26 for more information and to book visit www.donington-park.co.uk
