Harrison set for Superbike return with Silicone Engineering Kawasaki

Dean Harrison will be back for a second season in the Bennetts British Superbike Championship in 2019 as the Silicone Engineering Kawasaki team have confirmed their place on the grid ahead of the opening round of the season at Silverstone (April 19/20/21).

Harrison and the Silicone Engineering Kawasaki team are one of the most formidable contenders on the roads, but have combined their efforts to contest Bennetts BSB, with the Bradford based contender edging closer to top ten finishes during the 2018 season.

Harrison said: “I really enjoyed the racing in 2018 and I’m really happy that we are doing more rounds of BSB next year. I think the proof is in the pudding and the results we had this year showed that racing against the top class riders in BSB has helped massively.

“We had a really good year and I love our team; we were getting closer to the top ten this year and I think that is a realistic goal for 2019 and if we can do that it would be great, I would be happy and so would the lads in the garage.”

Team Manager Paul Iddon commented: “We have delivered one of our most successful seasons of racing this year and that is something that we obviously are looking to build on again in 2019. The additional track time, against some seriously good competition we have had in BSB, has been one of the key factors in our team’s development this year. We are now looking ahead to the New Year and moving forward once again.”
