Cooper extends series lead with opening Oulton Pirelli Superstock 1000 win

2019 Pirelli National Superstock 1000 leader Richard Cooper extended his Championship advantage with victory in the opening race at Oulton Park. It was a dramatic start to the race as pole position man Taylor Mackenzie was forced to start at the back of the grid after failing the tyre pressure check. Cooper grabbed the holeshot with Lee Jackson in close contention.

As Cooper and Jackson eased away from the rest of the field, Luke Hedger and Chrissy Rouse battled it out for third place whilst Mackenzie stormed through the field to eventually claim sixth place on the line – setting a new lap record on his final lap. Hedger took third ahead of Rouse whilst Lewis Rollo was fifth.
