NEXT EVENT: SILVERSTONE NATIONAL
19 - 21 APR |
The McAMS Yamaha riders completed their first appearance of the new season recently when Superbike duo Tarran Mackenzie and Jason O’Halloran presented competition winner David Course with a special McAMS liveried new Yamaha MT-10 from Yamaha Motor UK headquarters near Woking.
And following the presentation a McAMS fleet delivery van immediately took the bike to David’s home so he could take his first ride on the new machine.
The unique MT-10 was the prize in a national competition during 2018 and had been on show at all BSB rounds along with selected other shows and events. David, from Bedford, who last bought a new motorcycle in 1996, was one of the last to enter the competition submitting the winning entry at Motorcycle Live when visiting the Yamaha stand to size up a MT125 for his son.
Accident management experts McAMS received thousands of entries to win Yamaha’s refined muscle bike in the competition and the promotion also reflected the ongoing title sponsorship of the McAMS Yamaha Superbike squad.
David explained, “I’m absolutely over the moon, not only to win the bike but also to receive it at Yamaha HQ with the McAMS BSB riders. It was my first time at Motorcycle Live for many years and we were looking for a bike for my lad who is turning 17 so we went to check out the MT125, so we’ll both have an MT now! I’ve also just realised that Tarran is the son of one of my favourite BSB riders Niall Mackenzie… it all seems a bit surreal to be honest.”
McAMS Sales Director, Valentina Slater, “It was great to see David receive his Yamaha MT-10, he seems like the perfect winner and we’re all looking forward to hearing how he and his son get on riding together on their bikes. It’s been a really useful promotion for us to explain the benefits of McAMS in the case of an accident, we’ve had a massive amount of interest and to be able to hold the handover at Yamaha UK with our Superbike riders really is the icing on the cake!”
Celebrating their 10th Anniversary in 2018, McAMS specialise in helping motorcyclists get back on the road quickly on one of their 1500 strong fleet of hire bikes. For more info see www.mc-ams.co.uk
