Bayliss joins Macadam Triumph Factory Racing in Quattro Group British Supersport Championship

20 April 2026

Triumph Factory Racing has announced that Oli Bayliss will join the Macadam Triumph Factory Racing team for the 2026 Quattro Group British Supersport Championship season, standing in for Bradley Perie while he recovers from injuries sustained at pre-season testing at Donington Park.

Bayliss, a key member of the Triumph Factory Racing family in the FIM World Supersport Championship, will challenge the Triumph Street Triple 765 RS in the British series, where last time he rode for Dave Wadsworth’s team, he secured a podium finish in second place at Snetterton.

Thanks to PTR Triumph Factory Racing, it has been agreed the Australian will contest both the World and British Supersport series’ this season, with his first British round set to be at Knockhill (19-21 June), due to clashes in the calendar with the first two events.

Bayliss makes his return to the BSB paddock at a poignant time, as the championship celebrates its 30th anniversary - nearly three decades after his father, Troy Bayliss, claimed the 1999 British Superbike title.

Tomorrow (Tuesday 21 April) the Macadam Triumph Factory Racing team are back in action for the second official pre-season test, where Bayliss will join the squad for the two-day test as they make their final preparations for the first round of the Championship over the May Bank Holiday weekend (2-4 May) at Oulton Park.

Bayliss said: “Firstly, I’d like to wish Brad a fast and safe recovery following his accident and I will do my best for him and the team throughout the season. I’m really excited to be in the British Superbike paddock as well as Worlds this year, it’s a great opportunity for me and I’m looking forward to getting started and out on the Macadam Street Triple as soon as possible.

“A huge thank you to Dave (Wadsworth) and the Macadam crew, as well as Simon (Buckmaster) for the chance to be able to do both series. It’s more bike time for me on the Triumph and the chance to learn some new circuits, which I’m excited for. Unfortunately there are some clashes with the two calendars, but thankfully there’s not too many and I look forward to my first British round.”

Dave Wadsworth, Team Owner - Macadam Triumph Factory Racing commented: “Of course, firstly, we want to send our best wishes and a speedy recovery to Brad, we’re in contact a lot and I hope that he can return to the team as quickly as possible, once he’s made a full recovery.

“We’d like to say thank you to Simon at PTR Racing and Triumph Racing, as we have Oli standing in for Brad. He gelled with the team brilliantly last year when he joined us at Snetterton and I think once he’s learned some of the more quirky circuits he has a good shot at some strong results on the Street Triple.

“The extra bike time will be useful to both Oli and from a development perspective. He enjoyed his experience racing in British Supersport with us, and once we realised there was an opportunity for us to work together again, it was an easy decision; Oli also has a strong fan-base in the UK and we’re grateful that he can race both the British and World series with this agreement. I’m looking forward to seeing how he gets on when we get some testing time and it’ll be a pleasure to have him in the team again for the season.”
