Quattro Group British Supersport Championship: Kennedy storms to Feature win to reignite title challenge

06 July 2025

Reigning Supersport champion Jack Kennedy powered to his second win of the season to get his championship chase back off the ground.

And it’s all change at the top of the points standings, as Rhys Irwin now leads the way after Luke Stapleford, who was points leader before the race, crashed out.

As the 22-lap race got underway, it was polesitter Joe Talbot who got the best getaway, grabbing the holeshot ahead of Honda Racing UK’s Kennedy.

Seconds later, Stapleford crashed out, followed shortly afterwards by Kennedy’s team-mate Dean Harrison, as the pack started to settle into the race.

Now ahead, Kennedy was able to build himself a small buffer at the front and even in the latter laps as Talbot looked to get quicker and closer, he was unable to get close enough to try pass and settled for second, 0.787secs behind Kennedy.

Moto Rapido Ducati Racing’s Ben Currie was next rider home in third place after a bit of a lonely race, as Rhys Irwin finished fourth with Oliver Barr fifth.

Keo Walker was again the fastest of the Cup riders, taking the win just ahead of Ben Tolliday with Josh Bannister third.
