Leon Haslam made his Bennetts British Superbike Championship return at the opening R&G Official Test at Snetterton as the 2018 champion made his debut with the VisionTrack Kawasaki team.
Haslam made his return to the Norfolk circuit, utilsing the track time to compete necessary installation laps as the team continue their preparations for the forthcoming season which gets underway at Silverstone at Easter (April 15/16/17). Haslam ended the test 17th fastest, 1.061s adrift of the pace-setting time of Jason O'Halloran.
Haslam said: “The first BSB test was really good to get all the new team together; it was the first time we were all working together with the bike. It was mainly a lot of installation laps for me so it wasn’t a test for performance or race runs and we were just checking a lot of things out.
“It was a really good test to get everyone together and now we are looking forward to the next one. We still have a lot of work to do before round one, but I am really excited. Everyone is up for the job and I can’t wait to get started.”
