Seeley and Jones lead the charge to topple champion Kennedy from the top

Jack Kennedy has had an inch perfect start to his Dickies British Supersport Championship title defence after the opening two rounds of the season and the Integro Yamaha rider is determined to maintain his unblemished record at Donington Park this weekend.

Kennedy has won each of the opening four races, but EHA Racing Yamaha’s Alastair Seeley and his team-mate Brad Jones have been pushing to claim their first victories of the season and the new layout of the National circuit might be just the place to do it.

Kennedy said: “Looking forward to Donington Park this weekend, it seems like we've had a long break from racing.  I'm itching to get back out on my Integro R6 and keep our momentum going.  Donington Park is one of my favourite tracks so it will be interesting to see what the shorter National track throws up as I haven't raced on it before. Consistency is key so the aim is to keep racking up maximum points every round.”

Harry Truelove had his best results of the season last time out at Oulton Park, claiming a pair of fourth place finishes for the Truelove Property & Construction Yamaha team, to put him marginally ahead of Lee Johnston and the Ashcourt Racing Yamaha team in the standings.

Dickies British Supersport Championship standings:

  1. Jack Kennedy (Integro Yamaha) 100
  2. Alastair Seeley (EHA Racing Yamaha) 80
  3. Brad Jones (Integro Yamaha) 64
  4. Harry Truelove (Truelove Property & Construction Yamaha) 45
  5. Lee Johnston (Ashcourt Racing Yamaha) 37
