Bennetts BSB contenders continue pre-season preparations in session 2

Jason O'Halloran and McAMS Yamaha stayed at the top of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship official test times in the second session at Silverstone this morning, as the teams continue their preparation for the opening round at Oulton Park (June 25/26/27).

O’Halloran and title rival Josh Brookes locked out the leading two positions as they did in the opening session, but Honda Racing’s Glenn Irwin climbed into third place just ahead of the lunchbreak.

Kyle Ryde had another strong showing this morning for the Rich Energy OMG Racing BMW team, maintaining fourth place ahead of Christian Iddon and Tarran Mackenzie, who had chosen to sit out the opening session this morning.

The SYNETIQ BMW riders made their debut in session two, with Danny Buchan and Andrew Irwin heading out after their initial shakedown last week at Kirkistown, ending the session in seventh and ninth place respectively.

Gino Rea posted the eighth fastest time on the leading Buildbase Suzuki with FHO Racing BMW also taking to the track for the first time today in session two as Xavi Forés completed the top ten on his first action with the new team.
