TAS Racing along with title partner Tyco Security Products joined forces with BMW Motorrad for the 2015 Bennetts British Superbike Championship season, becoming the German manufacturer's official representatives after a long history with Suzuki.

The Northern Irish TAS Racing team is managed by Philip Neill and the squad initially started competitive racing on the roads in 2001. Since their inception they have amassed an impressive résumé including lap records and wins at all the major road race events including the Isle of Man TT.

TAS Racing stepped up to the Bennetts British Superbike Championship in 2008 after four successful seasons in the British Supersport Championship. The team moved to Bennetts BSB as the reigning British Supersport champions with Michael Laverty.

In 2008 Laverty proved that the squad could mix it at the front with the already established teams in the paddock whilst Alastair Seeley secured the team the National Superstock 1000 and British Supersport titles in 2009 and 2011.

This season Christian Iddon returns for a third consecutive season on the BMW after narrowly missing out on a Showdown spot in 2017 and is joined by Laverty who returns to the team.

We are extremely pleased that Christian will remain with Tyco BMW for a third successive season. We have produced some promising results during the past seasons and Christian was unlucky with mid-season injuries last year damaging his championship challenge. I don’t believe we have witnessed the full capability of the Christian Iddon and the BMW S1000RR combination yet, so we are already preparing for, and looking forward to next year’s challenge. We are extremely pleased to welcome Michael back. We enjoyed considerable success together and we can now use the experience to strengthen our working relationship for 2018. Being back on-board the BMW S1000RR was important for Michael and together with Christian, we firmly believe we have the correct people to help us deliver further success for Tyco and BMW Motorrad.
