Brogie has proved himself time and again, not just as a great and exciting racer, but as a superb Honda ambassador and generally great guy who everyone thinks the world of. It’s encouraging to know that Steve believes the Fireblade is the best package out there and we’re pleased to be supporting him with the CBR1000RR this coming season and have every confidence he’ll give it his all and get some great result for himself and Honda.

Team Profile

The Jentin Racing team was formed at the start of 2001 and the squad, managed by Bernie Toleman, entered the Junior Superstock Championship with Tim Lerego. The following year the team competed in the European Superstock Championship, with two impressive front-running performances from Luke Quigley at Monza and Assen.

The first outright win came in the 2003 season when the team returned to the National Superstock Championship with Matt Llewellyn. He held off Jamie Morley to secure first place at Thruxton and ended the season in fourth place for the Lloyds British liveried Suzuki team.

In 2004 the team moved up to the British Superbike Cup Championship after signing James Ellison and the combination was unstoppable. Ellison sealed the title after a strong, consistent season with an impressive 21 podiums including 14 wins.

In 2005 Ellison moved to MotoGP and the team replaced him with his elder brother Dean and they also ran Gareth Glynn in the British Superbike Cup Championship. The team had a difficult season, but for the following year they signed young rookie Simon Andrews who graduated from the British Supersport Championship. He was with the team again the following season and it was at the final round at Brands Hatch that he secured the team's best result of eighth.

In 2007 Andrews was back and continuing to build on the experience of the previous seasons, with the best result of ninth coming at Brands Hatch and Croft. In 2008 Andrews gave the team their first top ten finish in the overall BSB Championship standings and a best race result of fifth at Oulton Park and Silverstone.

The team returned with the familiar Lloyds British livery on the new Yamaha in 2009, but new rider, reigning Yamaha R1 Cup champion Jon Kirkham, had a luckless season.

In 2010 the team competed in the all-new Evolution class after joining forces with BMW. Steve Brogan joined the team in BSB, with Richard Cooper running in the National Superstock 1000 Championship. Brogan and the BMW were instantly a force to be reckoned with and the title went down to the wire at Oulton Park with the team securing the inaugural crown.

Brogan remains with the team for the 2011 season and back onboard the Honda Fireblade, the Jentin team are making a return to the main BSB class and are looking to returning to winning form.
