Team Profile

Dennis Hobbs will be making a return to the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship grid this season in a bid for title glory in the Evo class after securing Steve Brogan's title-winning BMW from last year.

Hobbs competed in last year's Metzeler National Superstock 1000 Championship, but was sidelined through injury. However, following several seasons in the Supersport class he is now looking to emulate the previous success in BSB which included finishing second and third in the Cup class in 2003 and 2004 respectively.

Hobbs said: "I have wanted to get back into BSB for some time and now I finally have the chance. BSB is the top class and it keeps getting better, so it was an obvious choice to move back after a few seasons in other classes. We had the opportunity to run Steve Brogan's Evo title-winning BMW from last season and we know it is capable of delivering. Evo is a great championship and the racing is close, so I am mentally ready I just need to get myself up and running on the bike in testing. I think the championship is going to be a close call and there are some really fast riders such as Glen Richards, so I can't wait to get cracking and see if I can get myself back up there like I did when I raced before in BSB.".
