Specsavers Hull Racing will debut in the Pirelli National Superstock Championship this season with a two-strong rider line-up of rookie Antony Moore alongside Leon Jeacock.
The team will field Suzuki GSX-R1000R machinery, supplied and supported by Hawk Racing as they prepare for their first full season in the series, with Moore ready for his debut alongside Jeacock who returns to the grid.
Moore said: “I am over the moon to be riding a brand-new Hawk Racing built Suzuki GSX-R1000R this season and for the opportunity to ride in this class. This class is fierce and very competitive compared to what I have been used to in the past, so I have a lot to learn. I do feel working with Leon and Hawk Racing, using technology I have never had before, we can learn a lot in a short space of time in our test programme for me to become competitive.”
Jeacock said: “It is an honour to be riding again in the Pirelli National Superstock Championship. The team have the best support they can by going direct to the factory-supported team and I cannot wait to get started. We have an extensive test schedule in place and I can only thank the team for offering me the best opportunity available to show what I am capable of.”
Neil Pinkney, Specsavers Branch in Kingston Upon Hull, commented: “I am pleased to introduce Leon to the team for this season. Leon has a lot of experience in this class, and a lot of knowledge on the GSX-R1000R bike set up. This season we hope to see him fighting at the front.
“Ant has run the team since 2019 and his riding has continued to progress. Along with his ambition and commitment as a rider, he now has the professional support and set up he needs to progress. I think the progression will be very noticeable.”
