Kennedy claims first Supersport pole of the season at Silverstone!

Jack Kennedy has claimed the Dickies British Supersport pole position at Silverstone, despite stopping with five minutes to go after a technical problem with his machine. Immediately fast out of the box, Kennedy was able to lap over a second faster than the rest of the field with Championship leader Keith Farmer running second and Andrew Irwin third.

As the session reached the final ten minutes, a flurry of fast laps saw the rest of the field began to chip into his lead with Ross Twyman jumping up the leader board, along with Ben Currie, whilst Farmer was able to close to within 0.3s before a red flag following a technical problem with Kennedy’s machine.

As the session resumed for a final five minute sprint, no one was able to lap faster leaving Kennedy to take pole ahead of Farmer and Irwin. Currie eventually finished fourth with Twyman fifth and the McAMS Yamaha of Arthur Sissis completing the second row.
