Corsedimoto.com to broadcast British Superbike Championship live on TV for the first time in Italy

Italian website Corsedimoto.com has finalised an agreement with Eurosport (Discovery Communications) for the acquisition of the TV and web TV rights of the British Superbike Championship for the next three seasons, commencing this year.

The 12 round Championship comprising all 26 races can now be viewed in their entirety for the first time ever on live TV in Italy. The specialized partner website of GazzaNet, the network of La Gazzetta dello Sport, is working hard towards web and TV integration and for the editorial and commercial promotion of BSB, the most competitive domestic Superbike series in the world, which is hugely popular with fans for its spectacular races, uncertain results and engaging personalities.

Corsedimoto.com, which in the coming months will launch a new English-language platform, also becomes a media partner for southern Europe with MSVR (MotorSport Vision Racing), promoter of BSB.

For its TV programming Corsedimoto.com will make use of the partnership reached with AutomotoTV (channel 148 on SKY). Each of the 12 events will be offered live (a total of 20 hours of broadcasting) with five additional repeats, broadcast over several days and time slots the week after the event, for a total of 72 hours of programming. The schedule, which has already been defined, will be presented in the forthcoming weeks.

Corsedimoto.com will also produce a web TV format comprising 14 episodes, which will be available on Tuesday after each BSB round, shared with Gazzetta.it, the main sports portal in Italy. On Corsedimoto.com, there has always been an entire section dedicated to the British Superbike Championship, which offers daily reports, results, analysis and profiles.

British Superbike Championship Series Director, Stuart Higgs said: “We are delighted with this expansion of BSB’s broadcast and media coverage. Corsedimoto.com and Paolo Gozzi are passionate about Superbike racing and this new partnership will ensure the excitement and drama of BSB can reach a new audience.”

Director of Corsedimoto.com, Paolo Gozzi commented: “Italian bike racing fans have been waiting a long time for the chance to watch every round of the most competitive Superbike championship on the planet live. Corsedimoto.com has always promoted the spectacular nature of British Superbike, which now thanks to our investment gains a full international dimension. A fantastic season awaits us, right down to the last corner of the last race: we hope you will enjoy it!”
