Eighteen year old Jones moves up to the Supersport class after a strong season in the Pirelli National Superstock 600 Championship, winning a race and setting pole position four times.

Kennedy said: “I’m very happy to be joining Appleyard Macadam Integro for 2018, thanks to Robin and Yamaha for the opportunity.  I really think we can put a strong campaign together and compete for the title.

“On a personal note, it was good to be winning races in British Supersport again this season but consistency is the key to winning a championship and I feel this package can offer me that 2018.  I can’t wait to get going on the new Yamaha R6 in testing in Spain in January!”

Jeff Turner, Yamaha Motor UK Marketing Manager added, “The Appleyard Macadam Integro team is one of the most professional and successful British Supersport squads and Yamaha Motor UK are delighted to be supporting them again.

“The spotlight is likely to be on Jack from the very first round but with the latest YZF-R6 combined with the support and expertise of Robin Appleyard’s squad we are confident he can be a title contender. The new season is looking competitive and it will be great to see the R6 racing in its distinctive blue paint scheme!”
