Brands Hatch is one of the most iconic sporting venues in the world and can lay claim to being the busiest race circuit in Europe.

Having undergone a series of major improvements in recent years, the Kent circuit now attracts some of the biggest international events on the calendar. Ever since starting out as a dirt track motorcycle circuit in 1926, Brands Hatch has been characterised by its natural ampitheatre, with virtually the entire 'Indy' configuration visible from the spectator banking and grandstands.

A firm fans' favourite, Brands Hatch has also witnessed a number of significant moments in history including the epic 2011 BSB title decider.

Shane "Shakey" Byrne scorched to his first winning double of the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship season at his home round on the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit in August as he headed off rivals Josh Brookes and reigning title holder Tommy Hill in each of the races.

The former two times winner of the title came under pressure from title rival Brookes but he held off the Australian Tyco Suzuki rider to give the team their first double win since returning to the championship.
