CPD Kawasaki announces 2020 Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship line up

CPD Kawasaki has announced their line up for the 2020 Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship campaign, with Luke Hedger remaining with the team and joined by Luke Hopkins.

Hedger returns to the team who successfully completed their first season in the series and will be joined by Hopkins, who was this year’s Thundersport 600 Elite and No Limits Pirelli Super Series 600 champion.

Hedger said: “I’m so happy to back with CPD Kawasaki for a second year. We had a very fun and extremely good year in 2019 and I just can’t wait to get started now. It will be tough but I am feeling confident and that we can push for wins and the top three, that is not only my target but the teams' goal.”

Hopkins said: “I am very thankful for this great opportunity and am very excited to be part of such a good team also having a great teammate in Luke. The 2020 season is set to be a great one, I can’t wait to get started on the Kawasaki and give it my all.”

Team Owner Chris Cunnington commented: “I have got a team around me that I not only trust, but I know they can get us over the line in top positions next year. I’m really glad that Luke Stapleford [Hedger] will be with us for a second season and I have no doubt he will bring his enthusiasm, willing and knowledge back to the table for 2020.

“Having followed Luke’s [Hopkins], seamless campaign all year it was only a matter of time before he got snapped up so I thought I would get in there first. As ever I am thankful to Corby Kawasaki for their continued support as well as all our other sponsors that help the riders throughout.”
